flower pot :: teacher gift

The Friday before Spring Break, I wanted the girls to have a little something to take to their teacher. I have several friends who teach & they have some of the hardest jobs; it seems that their expectations are always rising & their evaluations are getting harder. As a parent, I guess I should be thankful :) . . . I wanted Sophie & Ella's teacher to know that she is appreciated. So I came up with this little gift to wish her a happy Spring Break!

I don't do tutorials a lot on here, so I don't have a step by step picture guide, but here's the supplies you'll need {minus the hot glue gun & the photos}
I used a paint pen to write her name, grade, and the school year on the bottom.

Here's the work part {no pic} but I used www.picnik.com to print 2 picture collages {10 pics per} of the kids in their class. {20 kids total} I had taken pictures of each child at their Valentine's Day Tea, so I used those picture for the flower pot.
This part is going to be different depending on each individual project because you can make the photos as big, small, squared, cirlced . . . the list goes on. You can print them however you choose. There is some trial & error to this part, as it may take you several times to get the photos @ the perfect size to fit them onto your flower pot. I used tape during this part to make sure they all fit, then your Modge Podge becomes your best friend {as if it already wasn't, right??!!}
I used 3 coats of Modge Podge, letting each dry in between.

Use the hot glue gun to glue the ribbon around the top & don't forget to add your pencil/card as a nice finishing touch.
I'm really happy with how this turned out.
I think it could be customized for several occasions: Mother's Day, Grandparents, House Warming, etc.

Happy Crafting!
