no more photos . . .
{disclaimer: this post is by no means about my photography skills & 'tooting' my own horn!}

Don't worry, that doesn't apply to this blog- it applies to my life. Before Deacon was born, we invested in a very nice camera for us to document our family. I'm kinda extremely picky out pictures & every photographer that I like starts at like $500 a session! So not happening! The best step for us was to invest in this camera & let me take good pictures of our kids. {and boy, have I taken a lot of pictures!} Before long, people I knew started asking me to take photos for them and I started my own blog.

It was fun for all of two seconds.

Then I realized ALL of the work that goes into 'being a 'photographer' {which I have never referred to myself as!} I like taking pictures. period. I do not like all the after work. I don't have time for it. I am a Mommy. I have three little ones that are in need of my everything in this season of my life. So, this last Friday, I did my final {last.no more. not again} photo shoot - some bridals for my sweet friend, Andrea {who is going to make her fiance' weak in the knees when he sees her!}

I am still a shutterbug with my kids. That's why I got my camera in the first place. When they grow up they will have many wonderful memories thanks to our photos & I'm happy for that - but they will remember their Mommy being home with them & meeting their needs more. I don't think that I am wasting a talent by giving up photography, I know that I am following a much higher call - homeschooling my children. It's well worth it to me.

Thanks to all who I have had the pleasure of taking photos for. It was a honor & privilege.
And who knows, when the kids are grown, I might just venture back in ?!
