update . . .

Seems like all the post these days are pictures (which I'm sure everyone would rather see than to read my boring updates :)-- But, every now and then a little info is good . . .

The cold has officially arrived this week & we are enjoying every bit! The summers are so unbearable, that I always welcome the cold (plus, I love winter clothes!) The kids soaked up every last minute of the fall temps in the tress & rolling in the leaves, but today we only lasted an hour outside before their noses were red & their lips started to chap. As long as we can get sometime outside each day I think they'll be alright.

The girls are continuing to try & amaze us everyday! We are always taken back at how smart they are (of course we are a little bias!) Sometimes I don't think we adults give them enough credit! They are working hard at spelling & writing. They can spell any word as long as we help them spell it out, but know how to write every letter. They are reading small words & words that rhyme (makes it a little easier) & are starting to get the hang of adding & subtracting. They enjoy doing "school" work so much, that I never have to ask them if they want to do it. They are the ones who ask!
The girls are a great mix of "girly girls" & "tomboys". They love dressing up, experimenting with make-up & fixing hair but they can play tackle football, climb a tree & hit a baseball with the best of 'em! Ella has recently decided its her life mission to add the word "actually" into every conversation she has! It's hilarious! And our new family fun it a rousing game of Trouble which can get very competitive!

Deacon has changed SO much since our last update. He is now very mobile!! and I'm learning its a lot harder with two older kids to keep little things off the floor! He is pulling & standing alone for brief moments. He has 8 teeth & about to cut a 9th! His smile is too cute! He is waving bye bye, clapping and "singing." Today he played with the girls karaoke machine & just hollered in the microphone the entire time. He thinks his sisters are so fun & entertaining, but is quick to yell for me when they begin to pester him (which is a lot!) He thinks Brock is the greatest thing in the whole wide world but loves me more than any of them :) We are so blessed to have him.

Our house is slowing be transformed to a winter wonderland and I'm pretty sure Brock is already tired of the Christmas music . . . 'tis the season!!

Well, that's enough from here tonight. 24 days until Brock's graduation!! We are so excited! Thanks for following along on our journey . . . .

Until next time . . .
