hello? anyone out there?
has everyone totally just stopped looking at our{simple}life?!
funny . . . me too ;)
gosh, life has just taken off with the girls in school!
I find myself choosing the bed over the blog most nights. {more on that below}
So sorry little blog.
But, we are still here!
The girls are doing so much better with school these days! Thank you God! Most mornings are smooth & drop off has become a quick kiss and a wave. {And for those who care, I'm doing much better with school, too! Really actually enjoying the time in the morning to get stuff done!}
Dare I say, that fall has made it's wonderful entrance to these east Tennessee hills and it.is.wonderful.
Most days are breezy and nice - we've pretty much lived with the windows open this past week. {love!}
The trees are showing tiny glimpses of change, but soon the ridge in front of our house to going to be a beautiful site when the sun rises over it each morning. I really can't wait. It's been a long time since I've gotten to enjoy an east Tennessee fall & I plan on soaking in it.
Part of the blog absence, has to do with Brock & myself feeling like social media {ie: mainly facebook on our phones!} is a really bad thing for families. More often than not, we would find ourselves messing with our phones while our children competed for our attention. It broke my heart. So now, all of that "stuff" is off our phones {except Twitter} and we are really trying to be intentional about being on the computer only when the children are in bed. I'm not trying to give my two cents, but there are probably a lot of families out there who should consider "unplugging". It's been really good for us. And I mean really, do you really care that much about what's going on in everyone else's lives??!! I'll step off my soap box now.
Like always, October brings lots of fun for us! Sophie & Ella will be celebrating their 7th {did I really just type that?!} birthdays, Brock & I will celebrate 9 years of marriage and Brock will be taking his first trip to Haiti with White Stone. I'm also hoping to squeeze in a family photo shoot this Saturday, so we'll finally have some updated photos on here.
Very exciting things ahead!
So stick around . . . if you're still out there! ;)
