These days I feel that most of the updates are about Deacon, mainly because the first year it seems they do something new everyday! So, I thought I'd take a moment to update about the girls. The latest in their world is Taylor Swift. They have become her BIGGEST fans! We have daily concerts & performances by the Tharpe duo - which are very entertaining! We'll be selling tickets for their "tour" soon! :)
They also just began a new school schedule which has them going once a week by their self and once a week together. Ella is doing great, but Sophie is having some attachment issues. They are so much more enjoyable when they are apart. Sophie enjoys being my little helper on the days she is with me. She just jumps into whatever I'm doing. She is 3 going on 30! Ella on the other hand wants my undivided attention. She has our whole day planned out with fun activities.
If I could vent for a moment, I would really appreciate your prayers regarding my mothering of Sophie & Ella. I feel that they are at very vulnerable points in their lives & I want to do everything I can I walk with them(which is not easy while also mothering a 7 month old & being a wife to Brock). The girls have developed attitudes that Brock & I are just not good at handling. By the days end, I am spent both mentally & physically. Please pray that I will remember that end order to be a good mother, I must take care of myself, have patience with my girls, discipline correctly & effectively and enjoy every moment with them. I covet your prayers already.
Well, it's late & I need to be in bed!
We'll be traveling to TN is a few weeks to celebrate Sophie & Ella's 4th birthday there & send Uncle Derick off to California to serve with AmeriCorp.
