back to reality . . .

Where do we begin?
Well, obviously the latest news around here is the arrival of our little Deacon! He arrived on January 31 at 7:39 am – 8 lbs. 3 oz.: 20 in.- and hasn’t stopped growing since! Deacon is very cuddly, snuggly & only gets upset when he’s hungry or wants to be held. Which is exactly what we needed! He has fit perfectly into our family & the adjustment has been extremely smooth. We only wish we could say the same for Sophie & Ella, who are having some serious issues! They are having a hard time now anytime we leave for church or school. They cry for hours & repeat “We don’t want to go!” over and over and over . . . .well, you get the point! It’s is absolutely killing us! While we are trying to be patient parents who understand that their little world has been shaken, we also want them to know that things don’t always go their way & sometimes they just have to suck it up & move on! You may sense the sarcasm in that, but honestly, your prayers for a quick resolving of this issue would be greatly appreciated! (especially for a Mommy who is dealing with 3 now!)

I (Bethany) am doing much better now after a small scare postpartum. After being readmitted to the hospital for what they thought were blood clots turned into the possibility of an enlarged heart, which was ruled out leading to a diagnoses of postpartum edema (w/high blood pressure). I am doing well on my medication & will see a cardiologist in March for a check up.

Other than that, life is still moving right along. School & church keep Brock busy, but he does a wonderful job of being home as much as possible(which I am grateful for!) He’ll head out this weekend for some skiing & we’ll be hanging out with YaYa at our house.

That’s it from here tonight . . . Deacon is crying . . .

So long . . .
